청주에 사는 A(18)군은 지난해 7월 6일 지인을 통해 알게 된 B(21)씨에게서 550만원을 빌렸다.
A군은 보름 뒤 이자를 포함해 800만원을 갚겠다고 약속했다.
하지만 B씨의 빚 독촉은 불과 사흘 뒤부터 시작됐다.
그는 A군을 불러내 자신의 문신을 내보이며 공포감을 조성하고,수시로 전화를 걸어 욕설을 퍼부었다.
이에 A군이 연락을 피하자 직접 찾아 나선 B씨는 A군을 폭행한 뒤 자기 집으로 끌고 갔다.
그러고는 A군을 감금한 뒤 "돈을 못 갚으면 손가락을 자르겠다"고 협박하면서 각종 심부름과 허드렛일을 시켰다.
B씨의 지시로 A군 감시를 맡았던 후배 C씨 역시 폭력을 일삼았다.

강 판사는 "채권 추심 과정에서 피해자를 폭행하고 감금해 죄질이 좋지 않다"며 "다만 피고인들과 합의한 피해자가 처벌을 원하지 않는다는 의사를 표시한 점 등을 고려해 형을 정했다"고 판시했다.
