미국 반도체 제조사 인텔이 올해 중국과 긴밀히 연계된 업체의 반도체 제조 장비를 테스트했다고 로이터통신이 12일(현지 시간) 보도했다.
사안에 정통한 소식통 2명에 따르면 인텔은 미국 캘리포니아주 프리몬트에 본사를 둔 반도체 장비 제조사 ACM 리서치(이하 ACM)로부터 장비를 공급받았다.ACM의 중국 상하이 및 한국 소재 지사는 미국 기술을 공급받지 못하도록 지난해 미국 정부의 제재 대상에 오른 바 있다.중국 정부가 상업용 기술을 군사 용도로 활용하고,보드게임 종류역대 보드게임 순위첨단 반도체와 관련 제조 장비를 개발하는 데 ACM이 기여했다는 이유에서다.ACM 측은 이런 의혹을 부인한다.인텔이 시험한 장비는 반도체 제조 과정에서 실리콘 웨이퍼의 물질을 제거할 때 쓰이는 이른바 '습식 식각' 장비 2대다.
