[파이낸셜뉴스] '슈퍼맨' 코믹스 1938년 초판본이 만화책 경매 사상 최고가인 1500만달러(약 219억원)에 팔렸다.
10일(현지시간) BBC에 따르면 미국 뉴욕의 만화 전문 경매업체 메트로폴리스 컬렉터블스-코믹커넥트는 익명의 수집가가 지난 1938년 발간된 슈퍼맨 초판본 만화책을 1500만달러에 매입했다고 밝혔다.해당 업체는 이번 거래가 만화책 역사상 최고가라고 설명했다.
이 만화책은 1938년 출시 당시 가격이 10센트에 불과했다.현재 화폐 가치로 환산해도 2달러25센트(약 3200원) 수준이다.이번 거래는 비공개로 진행됐다.구매자와 판매자의 신원은 공개되지 않았다.
해당 초판본은 슈퍼맨이 처음 등장한 만화로,프라 그마 틱 무료 슬롯20세기 중반 슈퍼히어로 장르 확산의 출발점으로 평가된다.현존하는 슈퍼맨 초판본은 100부 미만으로 추정된다.
만화책 등급 평가 업체 CGC는 이 초판본에 10점 만점에 9점을 부여했다.이는 보존 상태가 매우 우수하며 사소한 결함만 있다는 의미다.앞서 지난해 11월에도 슈퍼맨 초판본이 경매에서 912만달러에 낙찰된 바 있다.
이번에 판매된 초판본은 과거 니컬러스 케이지가 소유했던 이력으로도 유명하다.케이지는 1996년 이 만화책을 15만달러에 구매했지만,프라 그마 틱 무료 슬롯2000년 자택에서 열린 파티 도중 도난당했다.해당 만화책은 11년 뒤인 2011년 캘리포니아의 한 창고에서 발견됐다.
