이재명 대통령은 지난 16일 청와대 본관 충무실에서 군 3성 장군인 중장 진급자 20명으로부터 진급 및 보직 신고를 받고 삼정검 수치를 수여했다.
삼정검은 육군·해군·공군 3군이 하나로 결속해 호국·통일·번영의 가치를 실현한다는 의미를 담은 상징물이다.

이날 수치를 받은 20명은 지난해 11월3일 국방부가 발표한 인사 대상자 가운데 중장으로 진급한 인물들이다.당시 인사는 통상 5~10명 안팎이던 중장 진급자 규모에 견주면 2~3배에 이르는 대규모 인사였다.
수여식에는 안규백 국방부 장관과 진영승 합동참모의장,김규하 육군참모총장,동행복권 파워볼 조작손석락 공군참모총장,동행복권 파워볼 조작강동길 해군참모총장이 참석했다.청와대에서는 강훈식 비서실장과 위성락 국가안보실장,김현종 국가안보실 1차장,곽태신 국방비서관이 배석했다.
