[대전=뉴시스] 김양수 기자 = 지식재산처는 지난 10월23일 LG에너지솔루션이 '전극조립체 및 전극조립체 제조 장치'에 대해 신청한 첨단기술 초고속 심사 특허가 19일 만인 지난달 11일 특허 등록됐다고 16일 밝혔다.첨단기술 초고속심사를 통한 제 1호 특허다.
또 해천케미칼의 '바이오매스를 포함하는 친환경 제설제' 특허도 초고속심사 신청(11월11일) 뒤 21일 만인 지난 2일 수출촉진 초고속심사 1호 특허로 등록됐다.
지난 10월15일 도입된 초고속심사는 수출기업이 해외진출 전략을 적시에 수립할 수 있도록 심사기간을 1개월로 대폭 단축해 조기에 국내 지식재산권 확보를 지원하는 제도다.대상은 ▲수출촉진 ▲첨단기술(조약우선권기초출원)로 나뉜다.
지식재산처는 이날 서울역 회의실에서 초고속심사 시행 후 최초로 등록된 제1호 및 2호 특허에 대한 등록증 수여식과 함께 초고속심사 이용기업 간담회를 개최했다.
행사는 초고속심사를 이용하는 기업들을 초청해 초고속심사 제도의 진행상황을 함께 점검하고 초고속심사를 포함한 특허제도 전반에 대한 고충과 건의사항을 청취해 향후 제도개선에 반영키 위해 마련됐다.
지식재산처는 LG에너지솔루션과 해천케미칼에 특허등록증을 수여하고 초고속심사를 이용한 기업들과 제도 이용 경험을 공유할 예정이다.
초고속심사는 현재 128건이 신청돼 5건이 등록결정을 받았으며 초고속심사 신청에서 등록결정까지 평균 25.1일이 소요되는 것으로 집계됐다.전체 특허등록 심시기간은 약 16개월에 이른다.
내년에는 수출촉진분야와 첨단기술분야에 각각 500건으로 제한돼 있는 초고속심사를 각각 2000건으로 확대하고 신청기업당 3건으로 한정된 수출촉진분야 건수제한도 폐지할 계획이다.
김용선 지식재산처장은 "국내 특허권의 조기 확보는 보호무역 장벽을 극복하고 해외시장 진출 교두보를 마련하는 첫걸음"이라며 "앞으로도 초고속심사 제도와 같이 심사기간을 단축하고 심사품질은 높여 우리기업들의 수출확대를 적극 지원하겠다"고 밝혔다.
