이 대통령 “생리대 비싸다” 지적

이재명 대통령 [연합뉴스]최근 이재명 대통령이 부처별 업무보고 자리에서 한국에서 유독 비싸다고 지적한 생리대 가격 관련 공정거래위원회가 조사에 착수했다.

다른 사업자와 공동으로 부당하게 상품(또는 용역)의 가격·거래조건·거래량 등을 제한하는 행위(통칭‘카르텔‘담합‘짬짜미’)는 독점규제 및 공정거래에 관한 법률(공정거래법)에서 금지한 부당한 공동행위에 해당한다.

제품의 가격이나 용역의 대가를 부당하게 결정·유지·변경하는 행위(가격남용) 역시 공정거래법에 따라 금지돼 있다.

담합이나 가격남용을 하면 공정위가 시정조치나 과징금 등을 부과할 수 있으며 사안이 중대한 경우 형사처벌로 이어질 수 있다.

만약 생리대 소재 등을 사실과 다르게 표기했으면 표시·광고의 공정화에 관한 법률 위반에 해당한다.

시민단체인 여성환경연대가 펴낸‘일회용 생리대 가격 및 광고 모니터링 결과 보고서’를 보면 2023년에 국내·외 일회용 생리대의 가격을 사이즈 별로 나누어 조사한 결과,라이브 카지노 도메인대형 사이즈를 제외한 나머지 사이즈에서 국내 생리대 가격이 더 비싼 것으로 나타났다.

이 대통령은 19일 열린 공정거래위원회 업무보고에서 “우리나라 생리대가 그렇게 비싸다면서요”라면서 “(정부가) 면세도 해주고 있는데도 비싸서 해외직구를 많이 한다고 한다.조사 한번 해 봐 주시면 좋겠다”고 요청한 바 있다.
