중국의 한 드론 제조 회사가 유엔 안전보장이사회의 대북 제재에 아랑곳하지 않고 드론 설비를 북한에 수출하고 있다는 점을 홍보 중이라고 미국의 북한 전문매체 NK뉴스가 보도했습니다.
중국 소셜미디어 더우인에 올라온 영상을 보면 장쑤성에 위치한 '장쑤 능타이 자동화 설비 회사'는 자사 드론 생산 공정이 빠르고 효율적이라고 홍보하며 U자형 컨베이어 벨트를 비춥니다.
그러면서 화면 속 조립 설비가 북한으로 배송되기 전 최종 테스트를 진행 중이라고 설명하며 하루 최대 100대의 드론을 생산할 수 있다고 강조합니다.
앞서 유엔은 지난 2017년 안보리 결의 2397호에서 회원국의 모든 기계류의 북한 수출을 금지하고 있습니다.
NK뉴스는 기계류에는 대부분의 산업용 조립 설비가 포함된다고 지적했습니다.
중국은 지난 2024년 기준 세계 상업용 드론 시장의 약 80%를 장악한 드론 최대 생산국입니다.
북한도 값싼 중국산 드론을 몰래 들여와 민수용은 물론이고 군용으로도 활용하고 있습니다.
지난 2021년 유엔 안보리 산하 대북제재위원회 보고서는 2020년 북한 열병식에서 등장한 드론이 중국 SZ DJI 테크놀로지의 '매빅 2 프로 타입'인 것으로 확인했다고 밝히기도 했습니다.
최근 북한은 우크라이나전 파병 이후 러시아와 이란으로부터 드론 기술을 확보하는데 열을 올리고 있습니다.
지난 8월 안드리 예르마크 당시 우크라이나 대통령 비서실장은 "러시아가 이란 샤헤드-136형 자폭 드론 기술을 평양에 이전하고 생산 라인을 구축해 미사일 개발 교류하는 것으로 안다"고 밝혔습니다.
신승기 한국국방연구원 연구위원은 NK뉴스에 드론 조립 설비가 북한으로 들어가면 북한의 드론 제조 역량을 근본적으로 개조할 수 있다고 지적했습니다.
