신한카드가 "가맹점 대표자의 휴대전화 번호와 생년월일을 포함한 개인정보 약 19만 건이 유출된 것으로 추정됐다"며 개인정보보호위원회에 신고했다고 23일 밝혔다.

신한카드가 파악한 유출 규모는 가맹점 대표자의 휴대전화번호 18만 1585건,카지노 사이트 분양휴대전화번호·성명 8120건,카지노 사이트 분양휴대전화번호·성명·생년·성별 2310건,휴대전화번호·성명·생년월일 73건 등 총 19만 2088건이다.

다만 현재 기준으로 주민등록번호 등을 포함한 개인정보와 카드번호,계좌번호 등은 유출되지 않은 것으로 전해졌다.

일반 고객정보도 유출되지 않은 것으로 파악됐다.

신한카드는 일부 직원이 신규 카드 모집 실적을 올리기 위해 일탈행위를 하면서 이같은 유출 사태가 벌어졌다고 설명했다.해킹 등 외부 침투 가능성에 대해서도 선을 그었다.

한편 이번 유출은 공익 제보자가 가맹점 대표자의 개인정보가 유출됐다는 증거를 개인정보보호위원회에 신고하면서 드러났다.

신한카드는 현재까지 확인된 조사 결과를 누리집에 공지하고,가맹점 대표자들에게 유출 관련 사항을 개별적으로 안내하고 있다.
