미국 연방통신위원회(FCC)가 외국산 드론과 무인 항공기용 부품 대부분을 수입 금지하는 방침을 공개했다.

이번 결정은 특히 시장 점유율이 높은 중국산 제품을 전면 차단하기 위한 조처로 앞으로 DJI 신제품 판매도 막히게 됐다.

22일(현지시간) 시킹알파 등 외신은 FCC가 국가 안보 위협을 이유로 외국산 드론과 부품의 사용을 금지한다고 발표했다며 미국 시장 진출을 차단한다는 계획이라고 보도했다.

FCC는 포고문을 통해 외국에서 생산된 무인항공시스템(UAS·드론) 및 그 핵심 부품을 FCC의 인증 규제 대상 목록(Covered List)에 포함했다고 밝혔다.인증 규제 대상 목록에는 중국 드론 제조업체들인 화웨이와 ZTE,힉비전,프라 그마 틱 슬롯 하는법다화,러시아의 카스페르스키 제품들이 포함됐다.
