- 글로벌 산불대응을 위한 협력 대응체계 중요성 재조명…글로벌 산불관리 허브를 중심으로 한 국제 협력체계 강화

지난 8일~12일 케냐 나이로비에서 개최된 유엔환경총회에서‘산불관리에 대한 글로벌 대응 강화를 위한 결의안’이 채택됐다.

[헤럴드경제= 이권형기자] 산림청(청장 김인호)은 지난 8일~12일까지 케냐 나이로비에서 개최된 유엔환경총회(UNEA-7)에서 대한민국이 주관해 온‘산불관리에 대한 글로벌 대응 강화를 위한 결의안’이 채택됐다고 15일 밝혔다.

이번 결의안은 산불이 ▷생물다양성 손실,▷산림 황폐화,▷대기오염,▷막대한 인명·재산 피해를 초래하고 있음을 강조하며,사설 토토 사이트산불의 효과적인 예방과 조기경보,대응 및 복구를 위한 국제사회의 협력 강화를 촉구하고 있다.

이를 위해 산불 대응 역량강화,기술·정보 교류,정책·제도 정비 등 통합적인 이행 노력을 권고했으며,특히 글로벌 산불관리 허브를 중심으로 한 국제 협력체계를 강화할 것을 분명히 했다.

글로벌 산불관리 허브는 대한민국의 기여가 초석이 돼,유엔농업식량기구(FAO)와 유엔환경계획(UNEP)의 협력으로 출 범한 플랫폼(2023년 5월)으로 독일,캐나다,프랑스,포르투갈 등이 참여하고 있다.

허브는 사전 분석 및 대비,사설 토토 사이트사후 대응·복구에 이르는 통합산불관리(IFM) 접근법에 기반한 산불관리 협력체계를 구축함으로써 전 세계의 산불 대응능력을 강화하고자 한다.
