쿠팡의 대규모 개인정보 유출 사고와 관련해,축구 승무패국가정보원이 정부 민관합동조사단 참여를 요청했지만 거절당한 것으로 SBS 취재 결과 확인됐습니다.

국정원은 "중국 국적의 외국인이 유력 용의자로 제기되고 있고 대규모 국민 개인정보 유출이 국가 안보에 위협이 될 수 있다"며,"과기정통부에 민관합동조사단 참여를 요청했지만,과기정통부의 거부로 참여하지 못했다"고 국회 과학기술정보방송통신위원회 국민의힘 박정훈 의원실에 제출한 서면 답변을 통해 밝혔습니다.

국정원은 지난 8월 롯데카드사 개인정보 유출 당시,금융위와 금융보안원 등 소관 부처가 수용해 조사를 지원했다고 덧붙였습니다.

국정원법 4조에 따라 국정원은 민관 구분 없이,축구 승무패국제 및 국가 배후 해킹 조직 등의 사이버 안보 정보 수집,분석과 국민 안전을 보호하기 위한 대응 조치를 할 수 있습니다.

다만 국정원이 조사단에 참여하기 위해서는 소관부처 또는 피해기관의 동의가 필요합니다.

과기정통부는 "이번 정보유출이 국가안보에 위해가 가해질 사안인지 단정할 수 없어 검토 중이었다"며 "국정원 요청에 답을 안 한 건 맞지만,명시적으로 거절한 건 아니"라고 설명했습니다.
