[대구=뉴시스] 김정화 기자 = 관리 사각지대를 악용해 마약류를 불법 투약해 온 의료기관 종사자가 경찰에 붙잡혔다.
대구 수성경찰서는 수성구의 한 피부과 의원에서 마약류를 불법 판매·투약한 간호조무사 A(45·여)씨와 상습투약자 B씨를 마약류 관리에 관한 법률 위반(향정) 등 혐의로 구속하고 병원관계자 2명과 투약자 3명을 같은 혐의로 불구속 입건했다고 29일 밝혔다.
A씨는 약 4년 동안 투약자 등을 상대로 에토미데이트와 마약류인 프로포폴을 불법으로 판매 또는 투약해 준 혐의를 받고 있다.
경찰은 A씨가 이 과정에서 약 6억원 상당의 범죄 수익을 올린 것으로 보고 기소 전 몰수보전을 신청해 수익금 전액 환수를 추진하고 있다.
경찰에 따르면 의사 명의를 도용한 A씨는 에토미데이트 7000병(병당 10㎖)과 프로포폴 110병(병당 50㎖)을 구입해 병원 내 창고 방 또는 투약자의 주거지에 직접 방문해 마약류를 투약했다.약물 사용 내역을 숨기기 위해 진료 기록지를 허위 작성하고 마약류통합관리시스템에 거짓 정보를 입력한 것으로 조사됐다.
에토미데이트는 수면마취제로 불법 유통 사례가 잇따르자 식품의약품안전처는 2020년 10월 오·남용 우려 의약품,영국 비트 코인 쓰레기ㅗㄹ해 8월 향정신성의약품 마약류로 지정했다.경찰은 A씨가 마약류 지정 이전 관리 공백을 악용해 범행을 이어온 것으로 보고 있다.
일부 투약자들은 불법 투약으로 재산을 탕진하고 신용불량 상태에 이른 반면 A씨는 범죄 수익으로 고가 오피스텔과 외제차 등을 구입한 사실도 파악됐다.
경찰 관계자는 "마약수사전담팀을 중심으로 의약품 유통 구조 분석과 의료기관 관리,영국 비트 코인 쓰레기범죄 수익 추적을 병행해 의료기관 종사자에 의한 마약 범죄를 구조적으로 차단해 나갈 방침"이라고 말했다．
