“3370만명” vs “3000명” 공방 검증될 듯[이데일리 방보경 기자] 경찰이 쿠팡 전직 직원에 대한 본격적인 신병 확보에 돌입했다.피의자를 붙잡아 진술을 듣는다면 3000개 계정 개인정보만 유출됐다는 쿠팡 주장에 대해 신뢰도를 검증할 수 있을 것으로 보인다. (사진=연합뉴스) 8일 서울경찰청에 따르면 경찰은 최근 국제형사기구(인터폴)에 쿠팡 회원의 개인정보를 유출한 전직 개발자에 대한 적색 수배를 요청했다.지난달 8일 수사당국이 법원에서 피의자에 대한 체포영장을 발부받은 데 대한 후속 조치다. 
경찰이 피의자를 붙잡을 경우 쿠팡‘셀프 조사’의 전말이 드러날 것으로 보인다.쿠팡은 지난달 수사기관보다 앞서 피의자를 접촉하고 3000개 계정의 개인정보만 저장했다는 진술을 받았다.쿠팡은 범행에 사용된 노트북을 하천에 버렸다는 중국인 직원의 진술서를 받고 장치를 스스로 포렌식하면서 증거 인멸을 했다는 지적도 받았다.
경찰은 최근 수사에 속도를 내고 있다.서울경찰청은 지난 1일자로 최종상 수사부장을 팀장으로 하는 쿠팡 TF팀을 결성해 대규모 인력을 투입했다.기존에 수사를 진행하던 사이버수사과뿐 아니라 진두지휘를 하는 수사과,메가 슬롯 사이트광역수사단 등 86명의 인원이 투입됐다.
