경찰 조사 참고인 출석…해롤드 로저스·박대준 등 쿠팡 전현직 임원도 피고발
김범석 쿠팡 inc 의장의 산업재해 은폐 지시 의혹과 관련 경찰에 참고인 신분으로 출석한 고(故) 장덕준 씨 어머니가 아들 죽음의 진실을 밝히고 김 의장을 엄벌해 달라고 호소했다.
장 씨 어머니 박미숙 씨는 6일 서울 마포 서울경찰청 형사기동대에 출석해 참고인 신분으로 조사를 받았다.김범석 쿠팡 inc 의장이 "그가 열심히 일한 기록이 남지 않게 하라"고 자사 임원에게 지시하는 등 장 씨 산재사망을 은폐하려 했다는 의혹에 관해서였다.
조사에 앞서 박 씨는 "지난 5년 저희 가족의 삶은 김범석과 쿠팡에 의해 무참히 짓밟혔다"며 "내부적으로 치밀하게 산재 은폐가 진행됐으니 저희의 산재 진행 과정이 계란으로 바위깨기일 수밖에 없었다"고 말했다.
이어 "20대 성실한 한 청년을 얼마나 난도질했는지,USDT 환율왜 그렇게까지 잔인하게 갈기갈기 찢어 억울한 죽음으로 내몰았는지 저희 가족은 울분이 가라앉지 않는다"며 "덕준이 죽음의 진실이 이대로 묻히지 않고 제대로 밝혀질 수 있게 도와달라.김범석을 제대로 처벌할 수 있게 도와달라"고 호소했다.
김 의장 고발 대리인은 조혜진 변호사도 함께 출석했다.그는 "김범석의 한 마디로 시작된 산재 은폐는 아주 치밀하고 전방위적으로 이뤄졌다"며 △관계기관에 장 씨 모습이 담긴 CCTV 영상 선별 제출 △출퇴근 시간 확인에 쓰이는 통근버스 입출문 시간 조작 제출 등을 사례로 들었다.
이어 "대한민국에서 더 이상 노동자의 사망이 은폐되는 일이 재발하지 않도록 철저한 수사를 통해 위법행위에 상응하는 법적 책임이 부과되어야 할 것"이라고 강조했다.
한편 이날 오전 공공운수노조와 '쿠팡 노동자의 건강한 노동과 인권을 위한 대책위원회'는 이날 산재은폐 의혹과 관련해 김 의장과 해롤드 로저스 쿠팡 대표,USDT 환율박대준 전 쿠팡 대표,노트먼 조셉 네이든 전 쿠팡풀필먼트 대표를 고발했다.
대책위는 김 의장이 "고 장덕준의 업무 내용 사실을 촉소,USDT 환율은폐하라는 지시를 내려 산재 발생사실을 은폐하도록 교사했다"며 로저스 대표와 박 전 대표는 "김 의장의 지시에 따라 고 장덕준의 사망 전 업무 내용을 축소·은폐하는 행위를 수행한 자"라고 고발 이유를 밝혔다.
네이든 전 대표에 대해서는 "중대재해가 발생한 사실을 알게 된 경우에는 고용노동부령으로 정하는 바에 따라 지체 없이 고용노동부장관에게 보고하여야 하여야 하는 의무가 있음에도 이를 다하지 않았다"고 지적했다.
박정훈 공공운수노조 부위원장은 "산재은폐는 노동자 한 명의 죽음을 덮어버리는 것이 아니라 우리사회의 근간을 흔드는 중대범죄"라며 쿠팡 전현직 임원에 대한 엄벌을 촉구했다.
