민중기 특별검사팀이 김건희씨에게 '로저비비에' 클러치백을 건넨 혐의를 받는 국민의힘 김기현 의원에 대한 강제수사에 나섰다.
특검팀은 17일 "오전부터 '김건희씨 로저 비비에 가방 수수 의혹 사건' 과 관련하여,해외사이트 순위김기현 의원 주거지에 대한 압수수색에 착수했다"고 밝혔다.특검은 이 밖에도 김 의원의 서울 여의도 국회의원회관 사무실도 압수수색을 진행할 것으로 알려졌다.

김 의원의 배우자 A씨는 2023년 3월쯤 김씨에게 100만~200만원대로 추정되는 클러치백을 건넨 것으로 의심되고 있다.특검은 A씨가 김건희씨에게 '대통령과 영부인이 큰 힘이 됐다'는 취지의 문구와 함께 2023년 3월 17일이라는 날짜가 적힌 편지를 클러치 백과 함께 전달한 것으로 보고 있다.이는 김 의원이 당 대표로 선출된 지 9일이 지난 시점이다.당 대표 당선을 염두에 둔 청탁성 대가였다고 의심될 수 있는 대목이다.
A씨는 지난 5일 청탁금지법 혐의를 받는 피의자 신분으로 특검에 출석해 조사를 받았다.김 의원에 대한 조사는 아직 이뤄지지 않았다.특검은 해당 의혹에 대한 수사를 이어가고 있다.
