(서울=뉴스1) 권진영 기자 = 쿠팡의 대규모 개인정보 유출 사태를 수사 중인 경찰이 닷새째 본사를 압수수색 하며 고강도 수사에 나섰다.
서울경찰청 사이버수사과 쿠팡 개인정보유출사건 전담수사팀은 13일 오전 9시 30분쯤부터 오후 6시까지 약 8시간 30분간 수사관 6명을 동원해 서울 송파구 소재 쿠팡 본사 사무실을 압수수색 했다고 밝혔다.
전담수사팀의 압수수색은 지난 9일부터 5일째 이어지고 있다.
경찰이 닷새 연속 고강도 강제수사에 나선 건 유출된 고객 계정이 약 3370만 개에 달할 정도로 방대하고,유로 2024 지역 예선유출자와 유출 경로 및 원인의 확인을 위한 디지털 증거 등 구체적인 자료를 확보하기 위함으로 보인다.
압수수색 영장에는 이미 출국한 중국인 전 직원 A 씨가 피의자로 특정된 것으로 전해졌다.A 씨는 정보통신망법상 정보통신망 침입과 비밀누설 혐의를 받는다.
경찰은 유출자와 유출 경로 및 원인의 확인을 위한 디지털 증거 등 구체적인 자료를 확보하기 위해 고강도 수사를 이어가고 있다.아울러 국제형사경찰기구(인터폴)를 통한 적색수배 발령 또는 범죄인 인도 요청에 나설 것으로 보인다.인터폴 적색수배는 특정 인물의 위치 파악과 임시 체포를 요청하는 국제 수배다.
앞서 경찰은 지난달 21일 쿠팡 개인정보 유출 사태에 관한 입건 전 조사(내사)에 착수했다.지난달 25일에는 쿠팡 측의 고소장을 접수했고 28일 고소인 조사를 실시했다.경찰은 그동안 쿠팡 측으로부터 서버 로그기록을 제출받아 분석해 왔으며,유로 2024 지역 예선범행에 사용된 IP도 추적 중이다..
