서울서부지법 난동 사태 배후로 지목된 전광훈 사랑제일교회 목사가 구속된 채 검찰에 넘겨졌다.
서울경찰청 안보수사과는 22일 전 목사를 특수건조물침입 교사 등의 혐의로 서울서부지검에 구속송치 했다고 밝혔다.
전 목사는 작년 1월 19일 서부지법에서 윤석열 전 대통령의 구속 영장을 발부하자 시위대의 서부지법 난입을 부추긴 혐의를 받는다.그는 서부지법 사태 전날인 작년 1월 18일 서울 지하철 광화문역 인근 집회에서 “서부지법으로 모여 윤 대통령 구속영장을 저지하기 위해 국민 저항권을 발동해야 한다”고 했다.다음 날 새벽 윤 대통령 구속 영장이 발부되자 서부지법 주변에서 시위를 벌이던 지지자 중 63명이 서부지법 청사에 침입해 기물을 부수는 등 난동을 벌였다.

이날 오전 7시 20분 전 목사의 지지자들 60여 명은 서부지검에 모여 전 목사를 기다리고 있었다.서울 성북경찰서 유치장을 떠난 전 목사는 오전 8시쯤 서부지검에 도착할 예정이다.
한편 전 목사는 구속 이후 17일부터 페이스북 계정에 일곱 차례에 걸쳐 옥중 서신 형태의 게시글을 올렸다.전 목사는 자신에 대한 구속에 “처음에는 검찰이 반려했으나 위에서 지시하자 결국 구속영장을 발부했다는데 이는 북한의 지시로 보인다”며 “이제 광화문 광장에 천만이 모여 국민 저항권을 발동하여 나라를 살려야 할 것”이라고 지지층을 자극했다.
