연합뉴스에 따르면 미국 CBS방송,슬롯 가든 100 무료 스핀로이터 통신 등 주요 외신은 3일(현지시간) 미 정부 당국자들을 인용,“미 합동특수전사령부(JSOC) 소속 델타포스 요원들이 베네수엘라에서 마두로 대통령 부부를 체포,국외로 압송했다”라고 보도했다.
앞서 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령은 이날 자신의 소셜미디어인 트루스소셜을 통해 “미국이 마두로 대통령에 대한 대규모 공격을 성공적으로 수행했고,마두로 대통령 부부를 체포해 베네수엘라 밖으로 이송했다”라고 밝혔다.그러나 구체적인 투입 부대를 공개하지는 않았다.
델타포스의 정식 명칭은 ‘제1특수부대작전분견대-델타’로 대테러·인질 구출뿐만 아니라 직접행동,특수 정찰 등 광범위한 특수 임무를 수행한다. 오사마 빈라덴 제거로 유명한 미 해군 네이비실과 함께 미국의 핵심 최상위 특수부대로 손꼽힌다.
그동안 아프가니스탄,이라크,시리아,소말리아,리비아 등에서 다양한 작전을 수행했다. 2019년 이슬람국가(IS) 전 지도자 아부 바크르 알바그다디를 사살하는 비밀 작전을 성공시킨 전력이 있다. 1970년대 일련의 대형 테러 사건 이후 영국 공수특전단(SAS)을 모델로 1977년 창설됐다.
요원 선발 과정도 엄격하다.5년 이상의 군 경력자 중 엄격한 체력 및 지적 능력,심리 테스트를 거쳐 선발된 후보자들이 다시 6개월 동안 전문교육 과정을 마무리하고 최종 검증을 거쳐 요원으로 선발된다.

This is without question the absolute coolest self-care item I have ever purchased. Even without the sleep tracking, I still feel this statement holds true. However, sleep tracking takes this product over the top. I highly recommend it to anybody who wants to improve their meditation practice, overall mindfulness, and sleep habits.
