강훈식 비서실장 26일 오전 캐나다 출국
60조원 규모 CPSP 수주 목표
한화·HD현대·현대차 등 방산특사단 꾸려정의선 현대차그룹 회장이 '캐나다 초계 잠수함 프로젝트'(CPSP) 사업 등 정부의 캐나다 방산 협력을 지원하기 위해 특사단에 합류했다.
26일 강훈식 대통령비서실장이 CPSP 사업 수주를 위해 캐나다로 출국했다.CPSP는 디젤 잠수함 최대 12척을 건조하는 대형 프로젝트로,잠수함 건조 비용(최대 20조원)과 도입 후 30년간 유지·보수·운영(MRO) 비용까지 포함하면 사업 규모는 최대 60조원에 달한다. 정의선 현대차그룹 회장.현대차그룹 
현재 한화오션·HD현대중공업 원팀 컨소시엄이 독일 티센크루프마린시스템(TKMS)과 숏리스트(적격후보)에 올라 올해 6월 발표를 앞두고 최종 경쟁을 벌이고 있다.
강 실장이 이끄는 방산특사단은 이날 출국해 캐나다와 노르웨이를 차례로 방문할 예정이다.이번 특사단에는 정의선 현대차그룹 회장과 한화그룹 김동관 부회장,블랙잭 게임 규칙HD현대중공업 주원호 함정 중형선사업부 사장 등이 함께했다.
또 김정관 산업부 장관,블랙잭 게임 규칙이용철 방사청장을 비롯해 잠수함 사업을 직접 추진하는 한화오션,HD현대중공업을 물론 현대차 그룹을 포함한 다수의 기업이 함께 한다.
강 실장은 이날 오전 인천공항에서 출국 전 기자들을 만나 "캐나다 잠수함 사업은 대한민국과 독일 양국으로 압축됐다"면서 "독일은 자동차,첨단 화학 등 제조업 강국이고,블랙잭 게임 규칙우리가 잠수함 개발 초기에 독일에서 기술을 전수받았음을 감안하면 녹록지 않은 상황으로 판단한다"고 말했다.
이번 잠수함 사업은 최근 진행되는 방산사업 중 가장 큰 규모인데다 국내 생산 유발 효과만 최소 40조 원을 넘을 것으로 추정된다.
강 실장은 "수주에 성공하면 300개 이상의 협력 업체에 일거리가 주어지고,2만개 이상의 일자리도 창출될 것으로 기대한다"며 "수주 가능성을 조금이나마 높이고 대한민국의 진심을 전달하고,블랙잭 게임 규칙이번 방문을 통해 최선을 다하겠다는 게 특사단의 역할이라 생각한다"고 말했다.이어 "한화·HD현대·현대차 함께한다"면서 "한국의 의지를 전할 것"이라고 강조했다.
