‘쿠팡 퇴직금 불기소 외압 의혹’을 폭로한 문지석 부장검사가 14일 안권섭 상설특별검사팀에 재차 출석했다.
상설특검팀은 이날 오전 10시부터 문 부장검사를 참고인으로 불러 조사 중이다.
문 부장검사는 이날 오전 9시 36분쯤 특검팀에 출석하면서 2024년 6월 3일 인천지검 부천지청에 부임한 뒤 일을 시간 순서대로 확인하고 있다며 “(이번 조사에선) 2월 21일부터 있었던 일을 조사하는 것으로 알고 있다”고 말했다.
앞서 중부지방고용노동청 부천지청은 올해 1월 쿠팡 물류 자회사인 쿠팡풀필먼트서비스(CFS) 퇴직금 미지급 사건과 관련해 쿠팡 측에 대한 기소 의견으로 검찰에 송치했다.하지만 인천지검 부천지청은 4월 무혐의로 불기소 처분을 내렸다.
이 사건을 수사했던 문 부장검사는 지난 10월 국회 기후에너지환경노동위원회의 국정감사에서 상급자인 엄희준 당시 지청장과 김동희 당시 차장검사가 쿠팡에 무혐의 처분을 하라는 압력을 행사했다고 폭로했다.
자신과 주임 검사는 쿠팡의 취업규칙 변경이 불법이라고 주장했으나 김 전 차장이‘무혐의가 명백한 사건’이라며 회유하고,금성무 도박엄 전 지청장은 올해 2월 새로 부임한 주임 검사를 따로 불러 쿠팡 사건 무혐의 가이드라인을 줬다는 것이다.
정성호 법무부 장관은 독립적인 제3의 기관이 진상을 규명할 필요가 있다며 상설특검 수사를 결정했다.이에 안권섭 특검이 이끄는 특검은 지난 6일 수사를 개시했다.
