(서울=뉴스1) 송송이 서한샘 기자 = 12·3 비상계엄 선포 당시 국회에 출동했던 이진우 전 육군 수도방위사령관이 '윤석열 전 대통령으로부터 4명이 (의원) 1명씩을 둘러업고 끌어내라'는 지시를 받았다는 자신의 기존 진술을 번복했다.
이 전 사령관은 15일 서울중앙지법 형사합의25부(부장판사 지귀연) 심리로 열린 윤 전 대통령의 내란 우두머리 혐의 재판에 증인으로 나와 자신의 기억이 왜곡됐다는 취지의 진술을 했다.
이 전 사령관은 "김창학 대령에게 우리 병력을 건드리면 체포하라고,온라인으로 복권을 구입할 수 있나요끄집어내라고 한 말을 윤 전 대통령이 한 말처럼 진술했다"면서 사실은 자신이 한 말이라고 해명했다.
그러면서 "'왜곡이라는 게 굉장히 크구나'하는 생각이 들었다"라고도 했다.
이 전 사령관은 지난 5월 20일 중앙지역군사법원에서 진행된 여인형 전 국군방첩사령관과 문상호 전 국군정보사령관 공판에 증인으로 출석했다.
그는 해당 재판에서 "'본회의장 가서 4명이 1명씩 (의원을) 들고 나오면 되지 않느냐'는 말도 처음에는 기억이 나지 않다가 3일 뒤 부관이 알려줘서 기억이 났다"고 증언한 바 있다.
이날 재판에서 이 전 사령관은 검찰 조사에서 '체포'라는 말을 쓴 것에 대해서도 사실이 아니라고 번복했다.
그는 "(검찰 조사에서) 윤 전 대통령이 끌어내라면서 체포하란 말도 했다고 했는데,나중에 보니 전혀 아니었다"고 진술하기도 했다.
