[헤럴드경제=서재근 기자] 첫 3단 폴더블 스마트폰‘갤럭시 Z 트라이폴드’(이하 트라이폴드)가 국내 판매 첫날부터 완판 행진을 이어가며 흥행 청신호를 켰다.
12일 정보통신(IT) 업계에 따르면 이날 삼성전자가 삼성닷컴과 삼성전자 강남 매장 등 전국 20개 매장에서 갤럭시 Z 트라이폴드 판매를 시작하자 온라인에서는 개시 5분 만에 모든 제품이 팔렸다.매장에서도 준비된 물량이 개점 직후 모두 판매됐다.
트라이폴드는 갤럭시 시리즈 사상 가장 얇은 두께에,가장 큰 대화면을 자랑하는 제품으로 삼성전자가 지난 2019년 처음 선보인‘갤럭시 폴드’때부터 축적한 기술력이 집약됐다.
출고가는 약 359만원이다.동일 용량의 경쟁 제품보다 40만원가량 저렴한 수준이다.
트라이폴드는 펼치면 253㎜(10인치) 대화면이,2024년경마일정접으면 폴드7과 동일한 164.8㎜(6.5인치) 바 타입 화면이 되는 새로운 폼팩터의 스마트폰이다.접었을 때 두께는 12.9㎜,펼쳤을 때 가장 얇은 부분은 3.9㎜다.
삼성전자는 디스플레이 파손 시 수리비 50% 할인 혜택을 제공한다고 밝혔다.다만,2024년경마일정스마트폰 보증 서비스인 삼성케어플러스는 적용되지 않는다.
아울러 트라이폴드는 통신사 연계가 아닌 완전 자급제로만 판매된다.
삼성전자는 이날 국내 출시를 시작으로 중국·대만·싱가포르·아랍에미리트·미국 등 글로벌 시장으로 확대할 예정이다.출시 일정은 아직 정해지지 않았다.
