강선우 의원 측에 공천 헌금 1억 원을 건넨 혐의를 받고 있는 김경 서울시의원이 귀국하면서 경찰의 수사가 본격화하고 있습니다.그런데 강 의원은 경찰이 압수수색을 할 때 휴대전화를 제출했는데 비밀번호 제공은 거부한 것으로 저희 취재결과 확인됐습니다.

경찰은 그제(11일) 미국에서 귀국한 김경 서울시의원과 함께 공천 헌금 의혹의 또 다른 당사자인 강선우 의원의 자택과 의원회관 사무실 등을 압수수색했습니다.
강 의원은 압수수색 현장에서 경찰의 요청에 따라 자신의 휴대전화를 제출했는데,수사팀이 휴대전화 비밀번호를 묻자 답하지 않았고,토토 독식당시 함께 있던 보좌진이 비밀번호 제공을 거부하는 취지의 답변을 한 걸로 SBS 취재 결과 확인됐습니다.
문제는 경찰이 압수수색에서 확보한 강 의원 휴대전화는 지난해 하반기 출시된 최신형 아이폰으로 당사자가 비밀번호를 알려주지 않으면 사실상 포렌식이 불가능하다는 점입니다.
앞서 강 의원은 공천 헌금 의혹 관련 녹취가 공개되자 SNS를 통해 탈당 사실을 공개하며 "수사에도 적극 협조하겠다"고 밝혔는데,이와는 정반대로 행동한 셈입니다.
SBS는 비밀번호 제공 거부 이유를 여러 차례 물었지만 강 의원 측은 답하지 않았습니다.
미국 체류과정에서 텔레그램과 카카오톡 계정을 탈퇴한 뒤 재가입한 정황이 포착됐던 김 시의원은 비밀번호를 해제한 상태로 수사팀에 휴대전화를 제출한 걸로 알려졌습니다.
김 시의원은 압수수색 직후 3시간 반가량 이뤄진 경찰 조사에서 강 의원 측에 1억 원을 건넸다는 자수서 내용을 대체로 인정한 걸로 전해졌습니다.
경찰은 압수물 분석을 마무리하는 대로 김경 시의원을 다시 불러 조사한 뒤 강선우 의원을 소환 조사할 방침입니다.
