논란이 확산하자 23일 롯데웰푸드는 공식 사과문을 통해 해당 사실을 인정했습니다.
롯데웰푸드는 "캐나다 지역에서 12월부터 판매 중인 빼빼로 X 스트레이 키즈 패키지 디자인에서‘한’의 이미지가 빠진 사실을 확인했다"며 영어와 한국어로 작성된 사과문을 게시했습니다.
이어 "확인 즉시 '한'님께 진심 어린 사과의 말씀을 전달드렸다"며,"무엇보다도 이로 인해 상처를 입으신 팬 여러분께 깊은 사과의 말씀을 드린다"고 밝혔습니다.
또 "팬 여러분들의 소중한 의견과 말씀을 계속 보고 듣고 있다.제품을 구매해 주신 팬 여러분들을 위한 추가 안내 사항에 대해서는 다시 공지하겠다"고 전했습니다.
공식 사과 이후에도 팬들 사이에서는 "유통 중인 제품의 회수 여부 등 구체적인 후속 조치를 언급하지 않았다"며 대응이 충분하지 않다는 지적이 이어지고 있습니다.
