더불어민주당 김병기 의원의 '금품 수수 의혹'을 서울경찰청이 직접 수사한다.

서울경찰청은 2일 언론 공지를 통해 "김병기 의원이 전직 구의원들로부터 금원을 전달받았다는 의혹과 관련한 고발장을 접수했다"며 "책임수사관서인 공공범죄수사대로 배당해 신속하고 엄정하게 수사할 예정"이라고 밝혔다.

김 의원은 2020년 총선을 앞두고 전 동작구의원 2명으로부터 1000만-2000만원을 건네받고 이후 돌려줬다는 의혹을 받는다.

이수진 민주당 전 의원은 2023년 말 이창우 전 동작구청장과 전 동작구의원 등 2명이 이러한 사실이 담긴 탄원서를 제출했다고 밝힌 바 있다.

이와 관련해 한 누리꾼은 이날 오전 김 의원과 전 동작구의원 등을 정치자금법과 청탁금지법 위반 등 혐의로 서울경찰청에 고발했다.
