21일 경찰에 따르면 수사팀은 서울시 선거관리위원회로부터 지난 19일 김 시의원과 전직 시의회 관계자 A 씨에 대한 신고를 접수하고 기초적인 사실관계를 수사 중이다.
경찰이 입수한 녹취는 2023년 10월 치러진 서울 강서구청장 보궐선거를 앞두고 김 시의원과 A 씨가 누구에게 금품을 전달할지를 논의하는 듯한 내용인 것으로 전해졌다.
이 과정에서 민주당 현직 의원들이 거명됐다고 한다.
