"진실 밝히고 책임 묻겠다”…비공개 경찰 조사 받은 사실 공개
더불어민주당 장경태 의원이 성추행 의혹과 관련해 비공개로 경찰 조사를 받은 사실이 11일 확인됐다.
서울경찰청 여성청소년범죄수사계는 고소장이 접수된 지 44일 만인 지난 10일 장 의원을 불러 준강제추행 혐의로 조사했다.
경찰은 2024년 10월,서울 여의도의 한 식당에서 국회 보좌진들과 함께한 술자리에서 장 의원이 만취한 여성 A씨를 성추행했는지 여부를 들여다보고 있다.
또 이번 사건이 불거진 후 A씨의 신원을 노출해 '2차 가해'를 한 혐의(성폭력처벌법 위반) 역시 조사했다.
경찰은 A씨의 진술과 A씨의 당시 남자친구 B씨가 촬영했다는 사건 현장 영상 등도 제시했지만,포커 클럽 총판장 의원은 혐의를 전면 부인한 것으로 알려졌다.
장 의원은 조사 당일 늦은 밤,포커 클럽 총판자신의 페이스북을 통해 경찰 조사 사실을 공개하고 "고소인이 제출한 영상은 단 3초짜리로,포커 클럽 총판언론에 보도된 다른 영상조차 제출하지 못했다"며 "이미 원본 영상에 대한 증거 보전을 법원에 신청했다.자신 있으면 보도된 원본 영상을 공개하길 바란다"고 했다.
장 의원은 A씨를 무고 혐의로,영상을 촬영한 B씨를 무고·폭행·통신비밀보호법 위반 혐의로 각각 맞고소·고발한 상황이다.
장 의원은 "무고는 한 사람의 인생을 송두리째 무너뜨리는 중대한 범죄"라며 "짜깁기된 영상과 왜곡된 주장으로 막대한 피해를 입힌 모든 행위를 결코 가볍게 넘길 수 없다.반드시 진실을 밝히고 책임을 묻겠다"고 말했다.
그는 “변호인 의견서를 통해 신속한 수사를 요청했고,포커 클럽 총판가장 빠른 일정에 성실히 임했다”고 밝혔다.
경찰은 장 의원을 추가 소환하는 방안도 검토 중이다.
