[서울=뉴시스] 이명동 기자 = 쿠팡은 최근 전 CPO(개인정보보호 최고책임자) A씨가 사내 불법행위 의혹을 제기하고 있는 것과 관련,켈리베팅"내부고발자가 회사의 정당한 해임 조치에 대해 불만을 가지고 왜곡된 주장을 일방적으로 하고 있는 것"이라고 21일 반박했다.
쿠팡에서 4년 여간 근무하다 2022년 말 퇴사한 A씨는 이듬해 쿠팡을 상대로 해고 무효 확인 소송을 낸 바 있으며,켈리베팅최근 김범석 당시 대표와의 과거 메신저 대화 내역 등을 언론 등에 제보하며 불법행위 의혹을 제기했다.
쿠팡 측은 "왜곡된 주장을 하고 있는 해임 임원은 연간 수십억원을 받는 부사장으로 재직하던 중 직원에 대한 학대행위 및 신고자에 대한 보복행위로 해임됐다"고 주장했다.
이어 "해당 임원은 직원 학대 및 보복사실을 부정하며 소송을 제기했다"며 "소송 과정에서 자신은 임원이 아닌 일반 직원으로 근로기준법 적용을 주장하며 당사에 160억원 거액의 합의금을 요구했다"고 덧붙였다.
쿠팡 측은 "해임 이유가 된 그의 직원 학대 행위는 소송 과정 속에서 다수 확인돼 재판 과정에서 증거로 제출됐다"며 "이밖에도 유사한 직장내 괴롭힘 사례가 다수 존재한다"고 주장했다.
또 "1심과 2심 소송에서 해임 임원은 직장내 괴롭힘 사실이 없음을 강하게 다퉜지만,켈리베팅법원은 그의 주장을 인정하지 않고 회사의 해임이 정당하다고 판단했다"고 부연했다.
이에 대해 내부고발자 A씨의 법률대리인 측은 "쿠팡 측이 근거도 없고 관련도 없는 반론을 제기하고 있다"며 "전 CPO는 중대한 비위 행위나 직장 내 괴롭힘으로 인한 해고 사실이 없다"고 또다시 반박했다.
