이날 본지 취재를 종합하면 특검은 이날 오전부터 서울중앙지검 형사1부 등에 검사와 수사관을 보내 관련 자료를 확보하고 있다.이날 강제 수사는 김 여사의 디올백 수수 사건을 담당한 수사팀을 대상으로 이뤄진 것으로 알려졌다.
디올백 수수 사건은 재미 교포 최재영 목사가 2022년 9월 코바나컨텐츠 사무실을 방문해 김 여사에게 300만원 상당의 디올백을 건넸다는 내용이다.최 목사가 이 과정을 손목시계형 몰래카메라로 촬영한 영상이 2023년 11월 공개되며 처음 알려졌다.이후 서울중앙지검 형사1부는 김 여사의 해당 사건에 대한 수사에 착수했고,러스트 룰렛 필승법10개월여 만인 작년 10월 김 여사를 무혐의 처분했다.당시 수사팀은 “대통령 직무와 관련이 없고,러스트 룰렛 필승법청탁금지법에 공직자 배우자 처벌 규정도 없다”며 이유를 설명했다.
