일본의 노동시장 인구(경제활동인구)가 저출산 고령화로 인한 인구 감소에도 올해 처음으로 연평균 7천만 명을 넘어설 기세라고 니혼게이자이신문(닛케이)이 28일 보도했습니다.

총무성의 월별 노동력 조사(15세 이상 인구 대상 표본조사)에 따르면 취업자와 실업자를 합친 노동시장 인구는 올해 11월 7천33만 명으로,7개월 연속 7천만 명을 넘었습니다.

올해 1∼11월 평균은 7천4만 명으로 작년 동기보다 40만 명 이상 증가했습니다.

이와 관련해 닛케이는 "여성과 고령자의 노동시장 참여가 늘어난 데 따른 것"이라고 전했습니다.

실제 총무성 조사에서 지난 11월 일하는 여성은 3천228만 명으로 1년 전보다 46만 명 늘어 45개월 연속 증가세를 보였습니다.

65세 이상 노동인구도 15만 명 증가한 961만 명에 달했습니다.

이는 1995년 445만 명과 비교하면 30년 만에 2배 이상으로 늘어난 수준입니다.

가와구치 다이지 도쿄대 교수는 "유연한 근로 방식이 확산하면서 일하는 여성과 고령자가 더 늘어날 가능성이 있다"고 말했다고 닛케이는 전했습니다.
