수사 착수 일주일 만에 강제수사 나서 고위공직자범죄수사처.ⓒ데일리안 DB[데일리안 = 황인욱 기자] 고위공직자범죄수사처가 '통일교 편파 수사 의혹'과 관련해 민중기 특별검사팀을 상대로 강제수사에 착수했다. 
26일 법조계에 따르면 공수처 수사4부(차정현 부장검사)는 이날 오후 특검팀의 직무유기 혐의와 관련해 서울 종로구 KT광화문빌딩 웨스트에 위치한 특검팀 사무실에 검사와 수사관을 보내 압수수색에 나섰다.
공수처는 지난 8월 민중기 특검팀이 더불어민주당 소속 정치인들도 통일교 측으로부터 금품을 받았다는 윤영호 전 통일교 세계본부장의 진술을 듣고도 국민의힘 소속 정치인들만 '편파 수사'를 했다는 의혹을 수사 중이다.
특검팀은 당시 윤 전 본부장으로부터 2018∼2020년께 전재수 전 해양수산부 장관에게 한일 해저터널 추진 등 교단 현안 해결을 위한 청탁성으로 명품 시계 2개와 함께 수천만원을 제공했다는 진술을 확보했다.
윤 전 본부장은 임종성 전 민주당 의원과 김규환 전 미래통합당 의원 등에게도 금품을 전달했다는 취지로 진술했던 것으로 알려졌다.
그러나 특검팀은 여당 의원들에 대해서는 정식 수사에 착수하지 않고 수사보고서에만 남겨뒀다가 지난달 초 내사(입건 전 조사) 사건번호를 부여하면서 금품을 주고받은 이들에게 뇌물 또는 정치자금법 위반 혐의가 적용될 수 있다고 판단한 것으로 알려졌다.
앞서 관련 고발을 접수한 경찰청 특별전담수사팀은 공수처법에 따라 사건을 공수처에 이첩했고,dsrv 블록 체인공수처는 지난 19일 사건을 수사 부서에 배당하며 수사 착수를 결정했다.
