메모리 반도체가 인공지능(AI) 인프라 성능을 좌우할 핵심 요소로 부상하면서 삼성전자와 SK하이닉스의 발걸음도 바빠지고 있다.양사 모두 기존‘인프라 큰 손’들과 협업한 맞춤형 메모리 모듈을 선보이는 등 치열한‘샅바싸움’을 벌이며 다가온 메모리 슈퍼사이클(초호황기)의 과실을 극대화할 준비에 돌입했다.
SK하이닉스는 18일 자사 10나노 5세대(1b) 32기가비트(Gb) 기반 고용량 서버용 D램 모듈(RDIMM) 제품이 업계 최초로 인텔의 데이터센터 인증 절차를 통과했다고 밝혔다.인텔의 최신 서버 컴퓨팅 시스템인 6세대 제온 프로세서 플랫폼과 SK하이닉스의 256기가바이트(GB) DDR5 RDIMM이 결합했을 때 신뢰할 수 있는 성능과 호환성,품질을 갖췄다는 검증이다.

삼성전자는 엔비디아와 협업한 새로운 AI 메모리 소캠(SOCAMM)2로 전성비(전력 대비 성능) 시장 선점에 나섰다.
삼성전자는 이날 공식 홈페이지 테크 블로그를 통해 삼성전자의 최신 LPDDR5X 기반 소캠2를 소개하며 “기존의 서버 메모리와는 차별화된 가능성을 제시한다”고 강조했다.소캠은 엔비디아의 AI칩에 탑재하기 위한 메모리 모듈로,도박 약식기소기존의 RDIMM이나 고대역폭메모리(HBM)의 단점을 보완해 데이터 전송속도는 높이고 소모전력은 크게 낮춘 것이 특징이다.
