(강릉=연합뉴스) 류호준 기자 = 강원 강릉시는 국토교통부 주관 '2025년 하반기 도시재생사업 공모'에서 2개 사업이 선정됐다고 19일 밝혔다.
이번 공모는 전국 지방자치단체를 대상으로 지역 여건,슬롯 리뷰사업 완성도,슬롯 리뷰경제적·사회적 파급효과 등을 종합 평가해 도시재생사업을 추진하는 사업이다.
전국 69곳이 신청해 48곳이 최종 선정됐다.
이번에 선정된 2개 사업은 명주·남문동 도시재생사업(지역특화형),슬롯 리뷰교1동 분수공원 복합 활력센터 조성사업(인정사업)이다.이를 통해 원도심 지역 활력 회복과 생활권 인프라를 확충하는 도시재생을 동시에 추진할 수 있는 기반을 마련했다고 시는 밝혔다.
'명주·남문동 지역특화사업'은 총사업비 382억 원 규모로 ▲ 역사 문화 자산을 통한 지역 정체성 회복 ▲ 감성 상권 조성 ▲ 보행 중심 가로환경 구축 등을 추진하는 사업이다.상권 활성화 사업과 긴밀히 연계해 '역사·문화·상권 융합형 도시재생'을 실현하는 데 중점을 둔다.
'교1동 부처 연계형 인정사업'은 국토교통부 도시재생 기반 시설을 조성하는 사업이다.사업비 87억원을 투입해 교동 분수공원 일대에 복합 활력센터를 조성한다.
시는 강원도 및 국토교통부와 협의해 내년부터 사업을 본격 추진한다.
