연합뉴스쿠팡에서 3370만명의 개인정보 유출 사태 이후 자신의 개인정보가 해커들에 의해 유통되고 있는지를 확인하려는 인원이 최근 급증한 것으로 나타났다.

15일 국회 과학기술정보방송통신위원회 소속 더불어민주당 이정헌 의원실이 한국인터넷진흥원(KISA)으로부터 제출받은 자료에 따르면 KISA가 운영하는 '털린 내 정보 찾기' 서비스의 개인정보 유출 여부 조회 건수는 지난달 28일부터 이달 11일까지 10만7802건으로 집계됐다.

이는 지난해 같은 기간과 비교해 717% 증가한 수치다.쿠팡은 지난달 29일 개인정보 유출 규모가 당초 알려진 4500명이 아닌 3370만명에 달한다고 밝힌 바 있다.

'털린 내 정보 찾기' 서비스는 신청인의 계정 정보(아이디·패스워드)가 다크웹 상에서 유통되고 있는지를 확인할 수 있는 서비스다.신청자가 이메일 인증을 완료하면 하루 최대 30개 계정의 정보 유출 여부를 확인할 수 있다.유출 사실이 확인될 경우 안전한 비밀번호 설정 방법과 보안 지침,이기토토익웹사이트 회원 탈퇴 서비스 등이 함께 안내된다.
