The machine only has 300 hours on it but I'm now having troubles with it stopping unexpectedly. Apr 30, 2014 · We all now Ventrac does not operate a refinery, so their proprietary motor oil and hydraulic oil are rebranded from some supplier; maybe Texaco or XOM or Valvoline/Marathon? My dealer was pretty open about that and said any top quality motor oil that meets the grade and spec would be fine, but he was more vague about hydraulic/transmission fluid. And a zero turn for most of my mowing would probably do better than a Ventrac anyway. Sometimes it quits after 5 minutes and sometimes it will run fine for 10-15 minutes.
