Mercury enrichener valve testing. I was at the lake troubleshooting, when I pressed in my choke (which I believe operates this Enricher valve) I took off!! I was able to get up to about 3200 RPM, but that is better than idle speed. Check your yellow/black wire at terminal on engine with key activated.
