[디지털데일리 최민지기자] LIG넥스원이 국방과학연구소와 함께 한국형 전투기 KF-21에 탑재될 단거리공대공유도탄-II 체계개발을 본격화한다.
LIG넥스원은 단거리공대공유도탄-II 체계개발 체계종합·유도탄종합 시제 사업계약을 체결했다고 24일 밝혔다.
단거리공대공유도탄-II 사업은 국방과학연구소 주관 항공무장 체계개발 사업이다.KF-21 근거리 공대공 교전 능력을 확보하고 전투기 생존성을 높이는 것이 목적이다.
전체 사업 규모는 약 2070억원이다.LIG넥스원은 2032년까지 체계종합·유도탄종합을 비롯해 적외선영상탐색기,유도조종장치,바카라 디켄터관성항법장치,구동장치,표적탐지장치 등 유도탄 핵심 구성품을 개발한다.이와 관련 LIG넥스원은 전체 사업 중 하나인 130㎜ 유도로켓 후속 양산사업 관련 계약을 63억7290만원에 체결했다고 공시했다.
사업이 완료되면 KF-21은 국산 장거리공대지유도탄에 이어 국산 단거리공대공유도탄을 장착해 운용하게 된다.이를 통해 순수 국내 기술 기반 공대지·공대공 교전 능력을 갖추게 된다.핵심 기술 국산화로 방산 기술 자립과 산업 생태계 상생에도 기여할 전망이다.
LIG넥스원은 한국형 GPS 유도폭탄인 KGGB와 한국형 타우러스로 불리는 장거리공대지유도탄 등 단거리공대유도 체계종합 업체로 선정되면서 KF-21에 탑재될 항공무장 체계개발의 중추적 역할을 맡았다.국산 항공무장 기술 발전과 방산수출 경쟁력 제고에 기여할 전망이다.LIG넥스원은 장거리공대공유도탄 개발을 염두에 둔 자체 투자도 준비 중이다.
신익현 LIG넥스원 대표는 "사업 주관 기관인 국방과학연구소와 유관 기관,바카라 디켄터기업과 긴밀한 협력을 통해 단거리공대공유도탄-II의 성공적인 개발 완료를 위해 전사적 역량을 총동원할 계획"이라며 "국산 전투기와 국산 항공무장체계 패키지 전략을 통해 글로벌 방산시장에서 K방산 위상 제고를 위해 최선의 노력을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
